Help Isthatlegal to Grow and Improve!

Book Donations?

Got any still-relevant but unneeded law books? (sorry, don't need case series).

Feeling generous and want to buy Simon that hot new text on admin law he's been hankering after?

Let's talk.

Donate HTML Coding?

You know me and my megalomaniacal tendencies - I want to cover all law! But I'm busy with all the other work required to maintain Isthatlegal as it is. Sadly, coding is way down on the list ...

Any Isthatlegal topic can be enriched by full statute/regulation linking. Modern day law is already heavily-codified (in the non-HTML sense) - and thus lends itself to further useful hyperlink coding. The idea is simple - organize any legal topic into it's natural sub-topics and allocate individual statute/regulations provisions accordingly. Supplement that with recent case extracts and you have a useful and full legal resource for anyone to use.

>>>> For an example of what a topic can look like after HTML stat-reg enriching, see the Employment topic.

>>>> Compare this to the lame (but aspiring) Insolvency topic.

Wouldn't any legal resource be much more useful with your donated stat-reg hyperlink enrichment?

.................

And remember, I waive copyright and ancillary rights in all my contributions to the website, and I expect you to do the same. No one owns what we create.

Let's talk.

Adopt an Area of Law? (lawyers only)

I'm just too busy to do all the projects I want to do. If you are a retired (or otherwise underused) lawyer and you have legal knowledge and experience you want to share with the world - this may be for you. Actually, you don't even have to be an expert in any particular area, just have the training and good sense.

I'm after lawyers willing to take over discrete legal topics (see the left sidebar topic list), to further build and maintain them into a resource that is useful to the readers that Isthatlegal.ca attracts. While I have my own methods and approaches I am wide open to different and new methods. Heck, it doesn't even have to be on this website, as long as it links compatibly with the Isthatlegal.ca goal of making law thoroughly accessible to everyone.

Let's talk ... and then let's change the world!

And remember ...

These are donations of goods and services towards the goal of making law accessible to everyone. They are not contractual considerations to me, and you should not expect any services or goods in exchange.
*** I only say this because too many of the emails I receive are from people (ultimately) wanting legal advice or services for themselves (or their interests). That's not what this is about. The cause of legal knowledge and access is it's own purpose.
