I took a course in Competition Law in law school, but have never had a legal case in it - largely because I haven't worked in government or corporate law. My political instincts are that, from the consumers' perspective - it is a grossly-underapplied field of law. I conclude that solely from my knowledge of people and from the belief that there's just SOOOO much money to be made and it's SOOOO easy to create, maintain and conceal a monopoly. There, I've confessed my bias.
